The name, Dick Tahsin is a familiar name for those who love collectible dolls. A graduate of the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology, Dick soon began his career at Polo Ralph Lauren, a name associated with high-quality fashion. While there, Dick was part of the team that designed the exclusive Bloomingdale’s Barbie doll, which today is one of the most sought-after designer Barbies. This led to Dick becoming chairman of the 1996 National Barbie Convention “Barbie and the Bandstand”. Among Dick‘s many contributions include designing celebrity dolls for the Franklin Mint as well as the American Greetings Company. Dick was asked to decorate the window of the famous toy legend FAO Schwartz with his current line of dolls, which all sold out within days. Dick will be long remembered for his extraordinary talents and his love of collectible dolls.
