to $109,000 in Ohio auction!

Newark, OH- Apple Tree Auction Center conducted their Spring 2013 Classic Car and Petroliana Auction on May 18th. As most of the over 300 bidders in attendance had their eyes fixed on the line-up of glossy paint and shiny chrome, a select group of bidders were there to battle for this diamond in the rough. This 1952 Porsche 356 coupe drew a pool of serious bidders from Texas to the east coast as well as several from Europe. The car came out of a local estate along with several others in similar condition. The online exposure was all that was needed to bring buyers out of the woodwork for this rare classic of which approximately 1,100 were made. The final bid came from a gentleman from Texas who plans to fully restore the car, add it to his collection and drive it!
